I'm looking for a small air conditioner to fit in a small basement window. The window is around 13 inches high and 28 inches across, so the AC unit has to be less than that.
I saw a few of them, one being the Goldstar WG5005 which is 11.1 inches high by 17.3 inches across, but it got some pretty nasty reviews.
Any suggestions?

We recently bought this air conditioner that is supposed to cool 1600sq. ft. but it doesn't feel that cold...I'm worried that it might not work in the summer heat!
Does anyone else own this air conditioner? We bought it at HomeDepot. Your experiences/ review of it would be very helpful...does it work for you?

I've been searching high and low on the Internet for a windowless (not the window box ones, because I'm moving soon). The only brand I've seen in stores is the DeLongi Penguino, but I've only seen negative reviews of it.
Can someone recommend a high-quality unit that's 12,000 BTU at the minimum, that I can buy in Toronto? Or somewhere that will ship to Toronto?
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!
